I picked up a vintage Seventies sundress at Spitalfields market and immediately fell in love with the elasticated bodice and free flowing skirt. I remember my Mum in the 70’s making a copy of an original Farmers smock and wanted to combine the stitch patterns into a print. Herringbone, feather and cross stitch patterns are banded and printed onto the silkiest of cotton lawn printed in a beautiful mill in Lancaster that uses the local river water to wash and finish the cloth.
As this style has so much stretch and ease, I decided to make it in just two sizes, a Small fits an 8-12 and a Medium 12-14.
Machine washable at 30 degrees.
